As for C, I will pray for her. Tonight I'll talk to my husband about what we can give. You continue to do so much for me, I would be happy to do this for you and would never question your motives. Ever.

Oh Angie! I would love to have a copy of the book Crazy Love. I printed out your book list a while back hoping to start checking off some on the list. I haven't read one yet. Books don't seem to make it into the budget. It seems I always give to my kids and forget to give a little to myself. Are all mother's guilty of this? I imagine so. Thanks for your blog.

Yes, I think many mothers can relate to putting the kids first and often not having enough left over for themselves. It was that way for years for me, and in many ways, it still is, but I've at least learned not to feel guilty when I do treat myself occasionally. I'm worth it too! :o)

Thank you for everything you're doing for "C". In my heart, she represents all the women in her situation, and in praying for her, I am praying that all the women like her find a Christian like you to be the light of Christ in their lives during these difficult times. I understand your hesitation to ask for financial assistance for her, but those of us who understand and know you will understand the heartfelt intentions, and will respond if they feel led to or are able to. I think you expressed yourself beautifully. Your words are appreciated! As a Christian, I want to know there is a need, in case there is something I am able to do to fill that need in some way. I can't do much, but I will do what I can for this woman I've been praying for. I have a feeling her and I have a lot in common, and I am thankful she has you in her life.

Todds new CD arrived on my doorstep this morning(Id pre-ordered it online a month or so ago when reading about its release here on your blog), not 2 hours before I got the call that my grown, big brother, Bill, has been hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs. He does not know the Lord personally and I am praying that God is using this to draw him to Himself. My grandmother died of blood clots when she was 44. My brother is 47 so this is heavy on the hearts of my mom and dad who also live here in NY near my own little family. They cant be there to comfort my son(their firstborn and only son)& his family right now. This is very difficult for them as you can imagine.
Anyways, Ive had the CD playing on my computer since I opened it. Its beautiful and many of the songs are directly ministering to my heavy heart right now.
My brother lives 3000 miles away so there is nothing I can do BUT pray. But the CD has already been a blessing to me. Please thank Todd for being a tool, mightily used of God.:)

Angie, I have heard people talking about Crazy Love, but just can't get my hands on a copy. I really hate to ask, but since you posted a second time, I felt like I should go ahead.

Also, while I don't have the money for the book and the shipping, I am going to make a (very) small donation to C. I hope others will help her as well. I know you wouldn't ask if it wasn't necessary and from what you have said, I am pretty sure I have been in similar shoes.

It seems God is always pulling us through something and when I pray for His help I always ask that the prayer is answered in a way that people will see nobody but God could have worked it out. I'm praying that for C also.

**Coming out of "lurk mode"**

I just LOVE Selah! I have several of their CDs and can't wait to hear the new one....

Here's a nice story about Selah. Every year local family/friends have a fall fundraiser for my son. One year we contacted several music groups to see if they would be willing to sing at his benefit. We were pleasantly surprised at the groups that responded. Selah was one of those groups and in fact agreed to perform for his fundraiser. We were ecstatic! Unfortunately, we were unable to come up with their food/lodging/fuel requirement. We were however still very touched by their kind offer. It's always good for the outside world to hear stories about what some of these big groups do on the side. It shows the compassion and love beyond their music. :0)

I would love to read along but alas like many others these days it's simply not in my budget....

Back to "lurk mode" :0)

Angie, please know that some of us are providing this same kind of help and support for members of our own families. Pray for my sister who was laid off from her job 18 months ago and has been unable to find a new one. If you are 56 and overweight, people just are not inclined to hire. She is someone who missed about 5 days for illness the entire 19 years she worked at a local hospital, but people don't look past the age and weight, I don't think. There is also discrimination against the unemployed as evidenced by a local business man who said (and was quoted in the local newspaper) that he would only hire people who already have jobs because he knows they are good workers. Please pray also for all the people out there who are able and ready to work but are not given a chance.

Also I went to Selah's site this morning and was blessed by the video of their performance of one of the new songs at KLove radio station. It blessed my heart and made my day start on a happier note.

I am so excited about this CD! I called my local Christian Book Store today and they aren't getting their shipment in until next week. I was so pleased to see that Target carries Selah. I have never purchased a CD in the past, but I am going to get this one. I am going on a roadtrip to help care for my little cousins this weekend (my aunt is battling cancer - lymphoma - that has spread to her brain. She has two little girls aged 6 and 8. I am taking a turn caring for them next week) and I am looking forward to the 6 1/2 hour drive because I will be able to get acquainted with your husband's music and I will be able to be closer to our Lord through his music. I know it will help me get into the right frame of mind to care for these little girls next week and make a difference in their little lives.

Thank you so much for all you do and for the role model that you are. You inspire me in so many ways.

Received my CDs in the mail a few days ago. This IS Selah's best work yet. You Deliver Me has become my favorite along with Unredeemed. I also bought a CD for my mom, and it has blessed her heart as well. In July she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer (no, she never smoked, she is just part of that 10-15% that get it "just because") and the message in the music has ministered to her in ways I could never express to you. It has brought her peace and comfort and for that I am truly thankful for the ministry of Selah. God has shown himself again. Please give my thanks and appreciation to Todd, Allan and Amy.

My prayer is for you, for C and for God to continue working through your lives. Many blessings.

I ordered Crazy Love theother day. When I got home I had an envelope in my box and thought, "This is too small to be my book" it was my SELAH CD!!!!!!!!!! I listened to "You Deliver Me" over and over again and cried everytime I listened to it. This is truely a God inspired CD. I can't wait to see them in concert in Tuscaloosa, AL. I hope to meet you too Angie. I can't wait until "You Deliver Me" and "Unredeemed" are available for me to sing too. This is truely a blessing.

I think what you are doing for your friend is awesome. Please don't let anyone tell you it's not. In my own journey with dealing with a very major childbirth injury nearly eight months ago and STILL waiting for the surgeries and therapies that will heal me, I am learning that people need someone to be their advocate and champion, someone unafraid to ask for help on their behalf or fight for them. I don't have that right now, and I'm starting to see how vital it is. When people like me don't have any fight left in them or perhaps just don't have the resources necessary, it is so incredible when the Body of Christ acts like the Body of Christ and does something. I wait in hope that it will happen for me, and I thank God that He is letting you do that for C. Yes, you are doing exactly the right thing.

My oldest daughter and I ran to Mardel's bookstore this morning as soon as it opened to buy our copy and the very first thing displayed in the store are you walked in was the new Selah CD!

We are praying they will be in concert near us soon. About 5 years ago we went to MANY of their concerts and it got to be a regular thing for Todd and/or Allen to ask how long it was going to take us to drive home that night. :) It was worth every minute of it too.

I preordered my Selah CD, which came yesterday. I listened to it all the way to and from work and was blown away, humbled in worship, moved to tears, and gripped by the Spirit. My brother and I grew up singing duets together in church, so that part of Selah's history has always struck a chord with me. They've been my fave since I first discovered them years ago. You're right -- it's possibly their best CD yet. I'm SO excited that they'll be coming to Bentonville for concert -- even more excited that my husband is thrilled to join me for it!

Also, I plan to order the "Crazy Love" book and join your study. We've moved around quite a lot in the last few years, and a solid circle of Christian Women is something I miss dearly from our last move. I'm reaching out through my local church, but connections take time. I'm so thankful for all the Godly people who have been placed in my life, and I'm thankful for the opportunity to meet many more through this study. Like you, I've heard great things about the book!

I have to agree that this is probably their best CD yet....although I will never get tired of listening to any of them! : ) My copy came in the mail yesterday and IMMEDIATELY was played!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness.....I've been listening to Selah since probably 2003?? when my brother wanted me to hear their version of In My Life/If We Never Meet Again. I literally cry with a smile on my face EVERY time I listen to any song of Selah's! So powerful, so beautiful, so worshipful... I've also been blessed to see them in concert three times and have felt the presence of the Holy Spirit each time. I will certainly be making my way to see them any time they are in Minnesota! 1. I bought the Selah cd yesterday. Praising God for and with every song. Each song brings us back to how much God loves us, the awesomeness of the Savior we serve, and how much Christ sacrificed for us. So many of the songs speak directly to, as Amy put it in her notes about Unredeemed, the things we just need to leave at the feet of Jesus. Listening to it is brings on what Crazy Love speaks of when it says that we just need to sit in silence in awe of God. These songs do that too.
2. I went back and bought the Crazy Love book (got sidetracked by the cd on the first trip!) I am going to love this book. I like the video intros to the chapters. I have not even read the first chapter yet but the video intro is so POINT BLANK. Totally agree with the need to see God. It may be crazy but I hate to just type His name wrong in an IM or an email or text, I can never leave it uncapitalized even when it is on accident!!! That writing in the sand thing was powerful!!

I LOVE the new album! My kids especially love their African songs, and we HAVE to listen to them every single time we're in the car. (Not that I mind, I love it!) So we were thrilled to see there is one on the new album, too. The kiddos dance around in their little car seats as best they can... it's cute. Cuter when they try to sing along. :)

Our small group just finished this book about a month ago. God led us to this study and it will rock your world. I encourage you to dig in and read this book and participate in this opportunity. Your life will forever be changed...it has in our small group.

It's one of those books that you will want to read through several times. My chapters are highlighted with so many of the great thoughts and challenges.

I look forward to reading and seeing what God does with each person that participates.

I went out and bought my own copy of Selah's new CD today. I have been listening to Unredeemed on repeat all day long (so unfortunately, I have not heard much else of the CD yet). The song has really been ministering to me. We've been going through a lot of drama with my husband's family this past week, and I've felt so discouraged, and down about the situation. Listening to the song has really given me a new sense of hope and peace that I really needed. Can't wait to listen to the rest of the CD. Maybe tomorrow :)

Just in case no one has mentioned it yet, I actually found Crazy Love at Walmart in their tiny Inspiration section for $11.88. I was suprised, but they had a few copies and they had dust on them so I would think not too many people think to look there. Just a thought if anyone is having trouble finding it. I have already started reading mine, and I am so excited about this book!! I will definatley have to read chapters more than once to really get everything!! Soo excited!!!
